Stunning whale tours

With only a few months before the whales leave the Cape Coast with their calves, I would like to encourage all to take the time to go through to Hermanus along the beautiful coastal road (R44) to view these gentle giants of the ocean. Up to 40 were recorded just the other day! If you want to sit back and genuinely enjoy your trip, a good option is the Cape Wine and Leisure Tours guided tour (021 887 5626). This will give you the freedom to look around instead of concentrating on the road.

A lovely spot to stop at along the way is Harold Porter Botanical Gardens at Betty's Bay - if you have kids in the car - a must. After a walk around Hermanus, you can stop at the Stony Point Penguin colony.

Enjoy the trip!
